Barely a month has passed since SVT Nyheter Dalarna told about a suspected case of bathhouse feet that was discovered on a child's feet after a visit to a swimming facility in Sälen.

Now it has happened again in Dalarna, but at the new Lugnet bathhouse in Falun.

The facility was inaugurated in mid-December but has now been allowed to close due to the bacteria.

Bathhouse feet means that you can get really sore and swollen with itching under your feet.

When bacteria grow on a surface such as in a swimming pool, the bacteria can cause inflammation in the feet.

"No serious illness"

When the disease reached Sälen a few weeks ago, the region's infectious disease doctor Fredrik Rücker answered the question:

How serious is it that a case has been discovered in a bathhouse?

- It is not a serious disease, but it is good that it is detected so that the problem can be fixed, perhaps cleaning a little more carefully, so that there are no more cases, said infection control doctor Fredrik Rücker,
