The Men's Handball World Cup will be played in Sweden and Poland on January 11-29.

Jönköping is one of the cities that arranges group stage matches and it is the teams Croatia, Egypt, Morocco and the USA that collide over three evenings in Husqvarna Garden.

- There are two matches per evening and you buy tickets for both matches, says Caroline Törnblad.

Above all, she believes that Croatia will have many supporters in Jönköping.

- It is the only team in the group from Europe and then there are a lot of people living in Sweden with a Croatian background.

150 volunteers around the championship

The local organization has gathered around 150 volunteers who will ensure that Husqvarna Garden is adapted for handball and that the event runs as it should.

- We have gained height, so there should be enough people, says local project manager Karl Gustavsson.

Jönköping has arranged matches in the handball World Cup twice before, in 2002 and 2010.
