As electricity prices rise in the context of the energy crisis, there are applications to download on your smartphone to help us lower the amount of the bill.

In the program "Bienfait pour vous", Sophie Brafman details two of them that are easily usable.

Valuable aids at hand for consumers.

Faced with the rise in the electricity bill, which will be around 15% in February, even with the tariff shield, the columnist Sophie Brafman offers smartphone applications to download to help us adopt the right gestures, in line with those promoted by the government.

In the program

Bienfait pour vous

, she highlights two apps that will allow us to monitor our energy expenditure, and thus avoid over-consuming.

Synthesize our consumption

For households that have a Linky meter - like 34 million households -, since December 15, 2022, Enedis can be downloaded for free alongside it.

"It allows you to follow your energy consumption live, but also to know which are the most energy-consuming positions", details the columnist at the microphone of Julia Vignali and Mélanie Gomez.

This application offers a complete dashboard, with graphs and diagrams that summarize our consumption.

"Above all, you will have good tips for synthesizing everything," adds Sophie Brafman.

The columnist lists, for example, the defrosting of her freezer: three millimeters of frost less represents 30% more efficiency, which helps to consume less.

There is also the fact of regulating your heating, stopping your water heater if you are away from your home for several days or unplugging your television.

Also, it is more economical to boil your water in an electric kettle rather than using a hob.

Anticipate and act immediately

On the other side of the Channel, in England, the brand new NR Link application is a hit.

"It's a box that you have to buy and order on the 'MyEnergyManager' site. You have to install it on your Linky meter, and it is linked to an application. This box is the first to analyze your data in real time “, explains Sophie Brafman on Europe 1. “It will allow you to completely adjust your energy consumption. You will be able to anticipate and act immediately”, she adds, with real savings at stake.

This box costs 139 euros, and it installs in five minutes promise the designers.

The columnist spoke with Anthony Parsons, the originator of this solution.

"Studies show that in general, we reduce between 10% and 23% of our bill", he says, "by being careful, on the application and with the advice, so that things are easier for the consumer".

The designer also indicates that we can check the correct piloting of the hot water tank, the contract that the customer buys from his supplier and other things of this type".

Thanks to this application, we can therefore "detect consumption anomalies, defective devices, even all of the overall consumption, and the equipment which would have remained connected all night", adds the columnist in
