Gunzburg: dozens of strains of coronavirus circulating in Russia, very different from "omicron"

The strains circulating today are hybrids resulting from the genetic exchange of different variants of the virus, TASS reports.

“Therefore, calling them “omicron” is not entirely correct, this is a genetically complete exchange, in fact, “children” of two strains,” Gunzburg said.

He also added that today we are surrounded by "already dozens of different strains" that cause a similar disease of coronavirus infection.

Earlier it was reported that China is canceling the quarantine for those entering from abroad.
