[Global Times Comprehensive Report] Nine countries have withdrawn their recognition of Kosovo's "independence".

According to Serbia's Pink TV report on the 4th, the country's President Vucic listed the names of these countries in his speech that day: Somalia, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Swaziland, Libya, Guinea, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia and Maldives.

In addition, he also predicted that "another country" would soon withdraw recognition.

Vucic said that so far, 106 countries have not recognized Kosovo's "independence", 84 countries have recognized it, and 3 countries have not fully recognized it.

Meanwhile, five EU countries do not recognize Kosovo's "independence" - Spain, Romania, Slovakia, Greece and Cyprus.

Serbian Foreign Minister Dacic said on Tuesday that Belgrade's further intensification of efforts to withdraw recognition of Kosovo's "independence" was a response to Kosovo's violation of the 2020 agreement reached with Serbia in Washington.

At the time, the Kosovo authorities agreed to suspend seeking membership in international organizations in exchange for Serbia stopping seeking countries to withdraw recognition of Kosovo's "independence".

The Serbian media "Evening News" stated that the Kosovo authorities' application to join the European Union shows that they no longer consider themselves bound by the terms of the agreement.

According to reports, given that some of the above-mentioned countries that have withdrawn their recognition have influence in the surrounding areas, it may trigger a "domino effect" on the issue of withdrawing recognition of Kosovo.
