2022 was the worst year of inflation in the history of the eurozone, with a peak price increase of 10.6 percent in the month of October.
Behind the increase were rapidly rising prices for energy and food.
November saw a turnaround as inflation fell for the first time since 2021 – from 10.6 to 10.1 percent.
But it is still a long way from previous years' numbers.
The European Central Bank's target since July 2021 is inflation of 2 percent in the medium term.
