The inhabitants of Boissy-l'Aillerie (Val-d'Oise) are fed up.

Heavy goods vehicles circulate regularly in their village despite the crossing bans.

Result: severe nuisance for local residents, degraded street furniture but also disrupted traffic.

This is exactly what happened on Wednesday, reports

La Gazette du Val-d'Oise

.

Two trucks, not authorized to circulate in the town, found themselves blocked at the intersection of two departmental roads.

One of the drivers tried to perform a maneuver but finally blocked his trailer.

A tow truck had to intervene.

Traffic was interrupted for three hours before being restored.

This scene is not uncommon in Boissy-l'Aillerie.

Tired, residents have founded an association to denounce this road nuisance and its impact on the town.

A petition has also been launched.

Several sidewalks and street furniture are in fact degraded because of the maneuvers of the truck drivers.

At the end of November, the municipality nevertheless issued an order prohibiting vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes from crossing the village.

A new public meeting must be organized.
