The American President said he had never been more optimistic about the prospects for the United States.
Biden also revealed that he has visited more than 140 countries.
"I'll paraphrase a saying from my old neighborhood: the rest of the world - the world - is not a 'patch on our jeans' if we do what we want and should do," the American president said.
However, he did not explain what he meant.
