Three young men aged 18 and 19 were sentenced to several months in prison on Tuesday by the Criminal Court of Melun (Seine-et-Marne).

On Sunday, the first day of the year, they set fire to vehicles parked in Moissy-Cramayel,

A total of 18 cars were affected by the fire which spread.

Around 8:30 a.m., the trio set fire to dumpsters.

Highly alcoholic, they then set fire to a dozen vehicles in the parking lot of a residence in the city.

The police first arrested a young man, before arresting the other two suspects.

Only one of them admitted the facts during the hearing.

The respondents were already known to the courts for acts of petty crime committed during their minority.

Two of them were sentenced to six months in prison, the third to eight months in prison.

Ten individuals had brought civil action, as had the municipality, because of the damage to the dumpsters.
