The additions were made during three different weeks last autumn, at different addresses in Uppsala, Västmanland and Gävleborg county.

The reason why the police made the investment was that the number of reports regarding child pornography offenses has increased significantly.

Now the investigations are underway and Emma Vangstad, group manager for ISÖB, Internet-based sexual abuse of children, believes that the crimes are complex.

- In every case, we have seizures, it can be computers, phones or hard drives, and that process takes time.

Then all the material must be reviewed, she says.

All are released

The police crackdown last autumn led to 72 people being interrogated and served with suspected crimes, and 62 people being arrested.

A large amount of child abuse material was also seized.

The arrested persons have been released but are still suspected of possessing and distributing child pornography.

In the clip you will hear more about the investment and what is happening now.
