Among them, there are 50,000 quotas at 3 land ports, which must be reserved online; the other 10,000 quotas are used for 4 ports including the airport, Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal, and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and there is no limit on the number of people.

Li Jiachao said that in the first phase, seven ports will be opened, including: Shenzhen Bay Port, Lok Ma Chau Port, Man Kam To Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, airport, Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal, and China-Hong Kong Ferry Terminal.

Those who go north must successfully make an appointment for a designated time slot and port before they can cross the border; while Hong Kong people returning from the mainland do not need to make an appointment, that is, there is no limit to the number of people.

The Chief Secretary for Administration of the Special Administrative Region, Chen Guoji, said that the first phase of customs clearance arrangements will be implemented from January 8, and all entry services and customs clearance times will be resumed at land ports, and arrangements for the number of people will be established.

In addition to mainland residents, Hong Kong residents going north from land ports and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge must make reservations for designated ports and designated times through the SAR government website. The relevant system will be launched later today.

Chen Guoji pointed out that when going south to Hong Kong, except for Hong Kong residents, other passengers must make an appointment through the Shenzhen Municipal Government's online system to pass through the border.

A maximum of 10,000 people will go north and south through land ports and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

No appointment is required for Hong Kong residents returning to Hong Kong from the Mainland, and there is no upper limit on the number of people.

In order to reduce the risk of cross-infection, no matter whether you go north from Hong Kong to the mainland or arrive from the mainland, you must have a negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours before your trip before you can enter.

Deng Bingqiang, director of the Hong Kong Security Bureau, said that the port will return to the normal customs clearance time before the epidemic.

Among them, in addition to maintaining 24-hour service at the airport, the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal, the China-Hong Kong Ferry Terminal, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will also resume 24-hour service.

The opening and closing hours of other ports are as follows: Shenzhen Bay Port is open from 6:30 to 0:00 am, Man Kam To Port is open from 7:00 to 22:00, Lok Ma Chau Port (Futian Port) is open from 6:30 to 22:00.

Applicants who make an appointment must make an appointment at the designated port, date and time slot, and arrive at the designated port and time slot in order to pass through the border smoothly.
