In response to the problems surrounding the former Unification Church, the new law that was enacted in the previous Diet to prohibit the solicitation of malicious donations, and the period during which the right to cancel contracts based on malicious business methods such as the psychiatric business method can be exercised. The revised Consumer Contract Act, which will be extended to 10 years, was enforced on the 5th, with some exceptions.



At a press conference, Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno said, ``The new law regulates socially unacceptable and malicious solicitation of donations, and along with the revised Consumer Contract Act, we have expanded the right to cancel donations due to unfair solicitation. , Effective legislation has been put in place for victim relief and recurrence prevention."



After that, he emphasized, "Since the end of the year, we have been posting information such as the outline of the new law on our website regarding the dissemination and publicity of these laws, but we will continue to work on improving the enforcement system."
