Military DPR - about Western mercenaries in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Lieutenant Colonel of the People's Militia, Deputy of the Parliament of the Donetsk People's Republic Andrei Baevsky, said that under the guise of mercenaries, fighters from Western special forces are coming to Ukraine.

“The so-called mercenaries in most cases are employees of Western special forces who sort of “retired” there and came to Ukraine under the guise of mercenaries,” Baevsky told TASS.

He drew attention to the short time interval between the arrival and exit of mercenaries on a mission, noting that during this time it was impossible to achieve the level of coordination required for a sabotage or reconnaissance exit.

“That is, already well-coordinated groups come, trained people who specialize in such operations,” he said.

He also said that samples of Western small arms are mainly received by special forces units where foreign mercenaries are fighting.

“Naturally, they are more comfortable using their weapons.

They just trained with him more, they worked with him more, so it will be some kind of automatic M4 carbine, ”he explained.

At the same time, according to Baevsky, regular Ukrainian troops mostly use Soviet-made small arms, the vast stocks of which remain in Ukraine.
