Three men will be tried and a minor was convicted for the burglary of the family of Brazilian player PSG Marquinhos in March 2021 in the Yvelines, the Versailles prosecutor's office said on Tuesday, requested by AFP.

The three men, aged 20, 28 and 29 in March 2021, will be tried by the Versailles Criminal Court on January 18 for theft with violence, forcible confinement and criminal association.

The investigating judge ordered a dismissal for the fourth man indicted.

In addition, a young man, aged 17 at the time of the events, was sentenced by the juvenile court last September to two years' imprisonment, including twelve months accompanied by a suspended probation, for theft with violence resulting in an ITT (total interruption of work) not exceeding eight days and aggravated theft, said the prosecution, who appealed.

The minor, who is no longer detained because the sentence covered pre-trial detention, was released by the court for the head of criminal association, according to the prosecution.

Stolen money and luxury bag

On March 14, 2021, while Paris Saint-Germain faced Nantes at the Parc des Princes for the 29th day of Ligue 1, the Yvelin home of the family of Marquinhos, captain of PSG, had been robbed.

Her father, who was there in the presence of his two daughters, had suffered violence.

Cash and luxury bags had been stolen.

Four individuals were arrested a few months later, in Paris, Val-de-Marne and Essonne by police officers from the Banditry Repression Brigade (BRB) of the Versailles judicial police and the Research and of intervention (BRI).

Subsequently, a fifth person, already detained for another case, was indicted for this burglary.

During the same match, the home of another PSG star, Argentinian Angel Di Maria, was robbed in Neuilly (Hauts-de-Seine).

Jewelry and watches had been stolen there.

Four people are charged in this case.
