The warning for wind in combination with snowfall applies in northern Götaland throughout Wednesday.

Yellow warnings also apply to northern Bohuslän, southern Svealand, parts of Västra Götaland county and inner Småland.

In northern Götaland, where an orange warning prevails, 15–30 centimeters of snow is expected.

SMHI warns that there may be very limited access on roads due to slippage, snow slush and poor visibility.

It is also likely that there will be power outages in areas with overhead lines, which will also affect mobile networks.

Trains between Uddevalla and Strömstad canceled on Wednesday.

The rescue manager: Do not go out into traffic

The emergency services in Åmål have extra preparedness for the snow storm.

They have brought in extra staff and are ready with track carts if needed.

- There is a lot of snow, it is quite wet heavy snow.

The best tip is not to go out into traffic, if you don't have to.

Wait to go shopping, for example, until it stops snowing, says Christian Rodén, rescue manager.

Several accidents

In several places, trees have fallen across the road and created problems for traffic and public transport.

During the morning, a single accident occurred on county road 2803 at Åsarp outside Falköping when a passenger car ended up on its side.

Due to slippery road conditions, a passenger car overturned on county road 195 at Fågelås södra outside Hjo.

No one is said to have been injured in the accidents.

"You should think twice if you really need to take the car today," says Fredrik Stengavel, responsible for snow removal in Uddevalla municipality.

We get a lot of questions about individual road sections, but it is difficult for us to give precise advice, not least considering that the weather can change so quickly.

A tip is to keep an eye on the Swedish Transport Agency's and SMHI's websites, which are constantly updated.

I know you can't say exactly, but does anyone here know how things look for Gisebo, Kaxholmen, Skärstad?

Can't see that there would be stops or any accidents there, but there must have been some snow, so if you go there there is reason to be extra careful
