After the traditional breakfast on Place Beauvau, the members of the government went on foot to the Élysée to present their wishes to the Head of State.

Emmanuel Macron will then chair the first Council of Ministers 2023 in the morning and should certainly address the thorny subject of pension reform in the preamble.

As every year, the members of the government went to Place Beauvau for the traditional back-to-school breakfast.

A tradition inaugurated under François Mitterrand by Gaston Defferre.

The ministers were joined by Elisabeth Borne shortly before 9 a.m.

The 41 ministers and secretaries of state then walked the few dozen meters that separate Beauvau from 55, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, the address of the Élysée Palace.

They will be welcomed there by the Republican Guard and then address their wishes, as is the custom, to the Head of State.

Emmanuel Macron, who will chair the first Council of Ministers of the year 2023 this Wednesday, could say a word about it in the preamble.

A year which will be that of the pension reform, presented a priori in less than a week now.
