Frank James, 63, has pleaded guilty to terrorism charges in the United States over the shooting of 10 people on the New York subway last year.

James initially denied shooting passengers as a packed train arrived at Brooklyn Station on April 12, but changed his account and now faces life in prison.

Prosecutors said James wore a reflective orange vest and yellow helmet to make himself look like a subway employee in order to carry out his assault, and detonated two smoke canisters before firing more than 30 times in the morning rush hour at the station.
