The accusations against Zuckerberg have their background in the company Juicy Fields, which two years ago presented a venture into medical cannabis and the company worked with marketing on social media.

In the summer of 2022, the company's pages were suddenly shut down and investors realized that their money had disappeared.

Aiding and abetting serious fraud

In November, the lawyer Lars Olofsson, who states that he represents 473 people, filed a lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg for aiding and abetting gross fraud.

The lawyer believes that Zuckerberg's platforms were crucial to the fraud.

- Mark Zuckerberg is operationally responsible - he is the CEO, Lars Olofsson said when the lawsuit was filed.

Therefore, the case is dismissed

It is usually prosecutors who bring charges, but the lawyer filed a so-called individual charge, which is very unusual.

Luleå district court now closes the case and refers, among other things, to the fact that aiding and abetting serious fraud is a crime that a prosecutor must first decide on.

- If prosecutors have decided not to prosecute, a certificate stating that such a decision has been announced must be submitted together with the lawsuit, writes councilor Christian Stamblewski in the decision.
