Chinanews.com, January 4th, according to Dagong Wenhui all media reports, the Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region announced on the 4th that it will reopen the regular quota of 500 Hong Kong cross-border non-commercial private cars traveling between Hong Kong and Macao via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (Hong Kong quota ) application.

  A spokesperson for the Transport Department stated that a total of 500 quotas will be accepted for re-application, 250 for companies and 250 for individuals, and the validity period will not exceed 3 years until April 5, 2026.

Applications may be submitted by all eligible persons, including existing quota holders of the batch.

Those who have been successfully granted quotas are expected to be able to use the bridge to travel between Hong Kong and Macau starting from April 6 at the earliest.

  The application eligibility for this quota remains unchanged.

The company quota is for companies registered in both Hong Kong and Macau, or Hong Kong registered companies with affiliated companies in Macau; while the individual quota is for Hong Kong permanent residents who are engaged in salaried work or set up companies in Macau.

Private cars with valid Hong Kong quotas can enter and exit Macau through the bridge for unlimited times.

Applications will be accepted again after the expiry of the quota validity period, with a view to benefiting more people.

This application will not affect the validity period of other batches of Hong Kong quotas.

  Those who are eligible to apply for Hong Kong quotas can submit applications through the GovHK website from 9 am on January 4, 2023 to 5:15 pm on January 16, 2023.
