(Focus Interview): Through 2022, we come to 2023.

For the past ten years, in every New Year's message, President Xi Jinping will praise some exemplary heroes.

Some of them have made outstanding contributions to the country and the people, and some have taken root in the grassroots and made great achievements in ordinary positions.

They all have a shining life, a life in full bloom, and they also have common characteristics, that is, they have a family and country in their hearts, dreams in their eyes, and strength under their feet.

They persevere day after day in the long river of time, and they also stand up at critical moments.

Their deeds are widely circulated, and their spirit is inspiring.

"History is long and magnificent, and generations of people have worked hard to create today's China. Today's China is a China where dreams are realized one after another." In this year's New Year's message, President Xi Jinping praised the Winter Olympics athletes and astronauts, and praised China. Bravo for achievement.

In fact, almost every year in his New Year's speech, President Xi Jinping will mention some shining names. They are people who have selflessly dedicated to the country and the people, and they are the cutest people in the new era.

Academician Lin Junde is a name that President Xi Jinping never forgets.

Academician Lin Junde was diagnosed with advanced cholangiocarcinoma. After learning that his life could only be counted in days, he insisted on being transferred from the intensive care unit to the general ward immediately.

Academician Lin Junde is one of the founders of my country's nuclear experiment explosion mechanics and experimental engineering research.

Throughout his life, he participated in almost all nuclear experiments in our country and created a large number of scientific research achievements.

The vital signs on the monitor were on the verge of their limits, and Lin Junde quickly fell into a coma when he returned to the hospital bed.

He repeatedly told his wife in a trembling voice: "Bury me in Malan after death."

In the Malan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery in the depths of Lop Nur, on the tall stele standing like a sharp sword, there is such an inscription engraved: Their lives have passed away!

But those who come later understand that it is this kind of desolation and tragedy that makes the word "peace" even more precious.

In 2018, with the approval of the Central Military Commission, Lin Junde, an "outstanding scientist dedicated to national defense science and technology", was added as a hero model for the entire army.

On December 31, 2018, President Xi Jinping delivered a New Year's message: "At this moment, I would like to mention some shining names. This year, there are more "Nan Ren Dong Xing" in the sky, and there are more heroes and models in the army. Comrades Lin Junde and Zhang Chao. We must remember Comrade Wang Jicai who defended the island for 32 years, comrades Huang Qun, Song Yuecai, Jiang Kaibin who stood up to protect the test platform and sacrificed heroically, and other heroes who died for the country and the people They are the cutest people in the new era, and they are always worthy of our memory and learning."

Over the past ten years, the names mentioned by President Xi Jinping in his New Year's message are heroes of this peaceful age.

Although they work in different positions, they all wrote unusual life answers at the moment of life and death decisions.

  On August 20, 2018, a typhoon raged.

A certain national key test platform of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation was in danger. Huang Qun, Song Yuecai and Jiang Kaibin of the No. 760 Institute were unfortunately swallowed by strong winds and huge waves during the strengthening operation of the platform, and fell into the sea to die. The test platform was safe and sound.

The three Communist Party members used their lives to compose a grand song of not changing their original aspirations, taking the lead in their beliefs, and promising the party to serve the country.

On April 27, 2016, Zhang Chao drove a fighter jet to perform land-based simulated carrier-based aircraft landing training, but died heroically because of a system telex failure.

The flight parameter recording system showed that in the 4.4 seconds from when the fighter plane called the police to when it parachuted out of the plane, Zhang Chao had only one action, which was to push the stick to the end with all his strength to prevent the nose of the plane from rising.

Knowing that skydiving at the first time is the best choice, Zhang Chao made a final effort to avoid damage to the fighter plane.

On October 11, 2018, during a mine clearance mission, 27-year-old Du Fuguo and his comrades discovered a Type 67 weighted grenade.

When Du Fuguo gently peeled off the camouflage layer around the grenade, there was a sudden loud noise and an explosion occurred at the scene.

At the moment of the explosion, Du Fuguo subconsciously fell to the side of his comrades, blocking the shrapnel and shock waves of the explosion.

The comrade-in-arms only had minor abrasions on his face and hands.

Du Fuguo was seriously injured, and even the protective clothing on his body was torn into pieces by the shock wave.

After recovering, Du Fuguo could no longer see the beautiful rivers and mountains of the motherland with his eyes, nor could he see the last minefield with his eyes.

But the 57.6 square kilometers of minefield he and his comrades conquered in the past three years has now become a pastoral garden.

On December 31, 2019, President Xi Jinping delivered a New Year's message: "In the past year, many people and things have touched us. Zhang Fuqing, who has hidden his fame all his life and never changed his original intention, and Huang Wenxiu, who dedicated his youth and life to the cause of poverty alleviation, contributed to fighting the fire. And the 31 warriors from Muli, Sichuan who sacrificed their lives, Du Fuguo who used his body to protect his comrades-in-arms, the Chinese women's volleyball team who won the World Cup championship with 11 consecutive victories... There are so many unsung heroes who have no complaints and no regrets. The ordinary writes an extraordinary life."

Over the past ten years, most of the names mentioned in President Xi Jinping's New Year's greetings are ordinary people, but they have faith in their hearts and actions.

They are loyal to their hearts in the choice of gain and loss, they stick to their coordinates in the ups and downs of life, they integrate their ego into the big ego, love the country and family, this love runs deep.

On October 10, 2017, the National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences received the first batch of pulsar signals captured by the "China Sky Eye", which enabled my country to achieve a zero breakthrough and made my country's radio astronomy field 30 years ahead of the world's average level. Its chief engineer and chief scientist, Nan Rendong, died of lung cancer on September 15, 2017, at the age of 72, due to lung cancer deterioration 25 days ago.

In the 1990s, Nan Rendong served as a visiting professor at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, and his salary was 300 times that of his domestic salary.

However, Chinese astronomers were faced with a dilemma at that time.

Sun Caihong, deputy chief technologist of the China Sky Eye Project: "Chinese astronomers use astronomical observation data, all of which use foreign data, and they are data that have been used by others."

In 1994, Nan Rendong resolutely returned to China. He was determined to build the world's largest single-aperture spherical radio telescope on the land of his motherland, allowing Chinese astronomers to see a farther-reaching starry sky.

After 22 years, Nan Rendong's team built the Sky Eye in a place known as Dawodang, the greatest engineering miracle in the history of radio astronomy in the world.

After its completion, a series of important achievements came to fruition.

As of July 2022, "China Sky Eye" has discovered more than 660 new pulsars, which is more than five times the total number of pulsars discovered by all radio telescopes in the world during the same period.

Nan Rendong's 72-year life journey seems to be only for the "Chinese Sky Eye".

From the prime of life to the twilight years, he worked hard all his life and achieved a legend in the world, a swan song in the academic world.

On September 17, 2019, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, Nan Rendong was awarded the national honorary title of "People's Scientist".

Nan Rendong, Lin Junde, Zhang Chao, Wang Jicai, Huang Qun, Song Yuecai, Jiang Kaibin, Zhang Fuqing, Huang Wenxiu, Du Fuguo...the names mentioned by President Xi Jinping in his New Year's message are like beams of light in the starry sky of the Republic shining brightly.

They devoted their lives to the mission, cared for the common people with love, gathered the power of the trickles into a majestic force, and gathered into a torrent of high-spirited and forging ahead in China in the new era.

The people are the creators of history and the real heroes.

There are many unsung heroes who have no complaints and no regrets and devoted themselves to dedication. They have written extraordinary lives with the ordinary people, and achieved great careers with struggle and sacrifice.

As President Xi Jinping said in his New Year's message in 2023, the history is long and magnificent, and generations of people have worked hard to create today's China.

Today's China is a China where dreams come true one after another... All of this is the result of the hard work and sweat of countless people.

Little sparks, converging into a torch, this is China's power!
