For some 35,000 Ile-de-France residents, it is the double penalty of the Navigo.

After the 12% increase in the monthly subscription announced in December, bringing it to 84.10 euros, some transport users in Île-de-France thought it was a bad joke this Tuesday morning when buying their subscription on app, they were charged several times.

It is the fault of a malfunction of the Ile-de-France Mobilités application, according to the regional transport authority.

“There was a bug.

(…) The Ile-de-France Mobilités application experienced a technical problem concerning the purchase of Navigo tickets on smartphones, which led to 35,000 people being debited several times, ”said a spokesperson.

The incident, which also affected the RATP and SNCF Connect applications, is "now resolved".

📣 Update: if you are one of the people charged this morning, you will be refunded Friday at the latest.

Thank you for understanding.

Depending on the time of the operation, either the transaction is automatically canceled and there will be no deduction from the user's account, or they will be automatically reimbursed "by Friday at the latest", he said. -he adds.

"We are sincerely sorry for this error and are doing everything we can to ensure that it does not happen again," added the institution chaired by Valérie Pécresse on Twitter.

Testimonials on Twitter report error messages and debits two, three, four… and up to seven times while trying to recharge the monthly Navigo subscription.

Which still gives a subscription for January at more than 588 euros, an increase that no one saw coming!
