President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on additional social guarantees for the military and persons with special police ranks who serve in the Russian Guard troops.

According to the document, the families of the fighters will be paid 5 million rubles each if they die while performing tasks to protect the border of the Russian Federation in areas adjacent to the areas of the special operation in Ukraine, as well as when assisting the FSB in the NVO zone.

The provision on a one-time payment of 5 million rubles applies to cases of death of members of the National Guard within a period of up to a year from the date of their dismissal from service, which occurred as a result of an injury or illness received by them in the course of combat missions.

Wounded under the same circumstances will be paid 3 million rubles.

The decree has already entered into force and applies to the period from February 24, 2022.

Instructions following the meeting with mothers of NWO participants

The President also approved a number of instructions prepared following a meeting on November 25 with the mothers of servicemen participating in the special operation.

In particular, he ordered before February 1 to submit a report on the provision of military units and subunits participating in the NMD with weapons, military and special equipment, materiel and resources (including uniforms and equipment), mobile reconnaissance equipment, personal armor protection and camouflage .

It is also necessary to report on the measures taken to improve the work of the Ministry of Defense in this area.

In addition, Putin instructed to prepare amendments to the legislation to establish a unified system of rights, benefits, social guarantees and compensations for persons who participated in hostilities on the side of the Donbass republics from 2014 until they were accepted into the Russian Federation.

The President also ordered to organize, in a one-stop shop, the issuance of documents necessary for the participants of the SVO and the families of the victims to receive the prescribed benefits, compensations and other social support measures.

The deadline for completion is April 1st.

Along with this, the head of state instructed to submit proposals on the possibility of using medical organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Health to provide medical care to participants of the NHE in stationary conditions and their rehabilitation.

In yet another order, the president instructed the government to prepare a comprehensive program for professional retraining, employment, rehabilitation and psychological support for NWO participants.

According to the document, consulting support will also extend to family members of military personnel.

Putin also instructed the Ministry of Defense to help documentary filmmakers working on films about the heroes of the special operation.

“The Russian Ministry of Defense, with the participation of the autonomous non-profit organization Committee of the Fatherland Warriors’ Families, to assist Russian documentary filmmakers in preparing cinematographic material about participants in a special military operation who have shown courage, courage and heroism,” the document published by the Kremlin’s press service says.
