The leaders also discussed issues of practical cooperation in a number of topical areas, including the fuel and energy complex.

Earlier, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Yuri Sentyurin said that negotiations between Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on the creation of a gas union are ongoing.
