The violent scene is still in everyone's mind, in the emergency room of the Nantes University Hospital, even two years after the fact.

On Monday, three men were sentenced to prison terms for participating in a spectacular escape.

A 25-year-old, then hospitalized but under police custody, was sentenced to three years in prison.

Two of his accomplices, who had helped him to escape, received 11 and 18 months in prison, reports France Bleu Loire Océan.

That evening, the main defendant had been taken to the emergency room for stomach pains, after being arrested by the Bellevue district police for refusing to comply.

But an hour later, a commando of about ten hooded men had burst into the hospital, distributing blows and threats to the staff.

After picking up their friend and driving away, several of them were arrested a few days later.

Known to justice, the three men were also banned from going to the emergency room and the obligation to compensate the victims, specifies France Bleu.

And in particular 5,000 euros to be paid to the Nantes University Hospital, for the material damage caused that night.
