But Domros warned that this does not mean that there will be an immediate and lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine.
"The ceasefire means that the two sides stop shelling and shooting at each other," but negotiations "may take a long time."
Regarding the status quo of the Ukraine crisis, Domros said that Russia has the advantage of having "more tanks and more missiles", while Kyiv is "completely dependent" on Western weapons supplies.
Domrose believes the only way to end the conflict is to reach a negotiated agreement acceptable to both parties.
