Who said the campaign was out of fashion?

Berric, a small Breton village in Morbihan, has managed to triple its population in 45 years.

In 2022, nearly 2,000 inhabitants have joined the ranks of Berric.

This is the strongest growth in the department.

The confinement and the desire for the countryside which has taken hold of many French people have a lot to do with it.

But why such an attraction for the Berric?

An idyllic geographical location

"Le Berric is fifteen kilometers from the coast, 17 kilometers from Vannes and 50 minutes from Nantes".

The finger on the map, on the wall of his office, the mayor of the village Michel Grignon describes the situation of his idyllic commune.

"We are in the countryside while being close to the cities," he explains.

And above all, this population is not ageing.

On the contrary, as Annick, the owner of the old bar in the center, the Bol d'Or, notes: "It's still young. I had the parents who came to have fun here and now I have the children. There is everything you need. You can see the buildings, there are plenty of them!"

110 housing units for 2026

Indeed, the new generations lack nothing.

Here, prices are still affordable, there are two schools, shops, a medical centre, 35 businesses.

So inevitably, all this attracts the public.

"There are a lot of requests, it will indeed be saturated. When you are in a place, you do not let go", explains Alexandre Moulet, real estate adviser.
