A major accident occurred this Sunday in Saint-Alban-Leysse (Savoie).

Two teenagers who were riding a scooter on a secondary road were victims of a violent fall, reports France Bleu Pays de Savoie.

Aged about 14, the two youngsters were seriously injured.

One of the two teenagers fell into a ravine and found himself 20 meters below.

The other was thrown onto the road.

Alerted, the emergency services quickly went to the scene to come to their aid.

About twenty firefighters were mobilized during this intervention.

Seriously affected, the two teenagers were transported in absolute urgency to the University Hospital of Grenoble (Isère).

One of them had to be airlifted.

Traffic on this departmental road was closed to traffic for nearly an hour during the emergency response.
