The organizers of CES, the world's largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, have made it mandatory for participants departing from China to submit a COVID-19 negative certificate ahead of the opening on the 5th.

The Consumer Technology Association, which hosts the CES event, said all travelers from mainland China, Macau and Hong Kong must submit a COVID-19 test negative when collecting their CES attendee badge.

This action by the organizers is an advance application of the US authorities' strengthened quarantine policy for entrants from China.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires travelers from China to submit a negative COVID-19 certificate from the 5th.

CES attendees arriving in the United States from China must bring a COVID-19 negative certificate completed within 48 hours.

This CES, which will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, will be held for 4 days as an offline face-to-face event, returning to normal after 3 years.
