The Israeli occupation forces killed two young men and demolished two houses in the Jenin governorate, in the northern occupied West Bank, and arrested 18 Palestinians in separate parts of the West Bank.

The director of the Al-Jazeera office in Ramallah, Walid Al-Omari, said that Fouad Abed (17 years) and Muhammad Hoshia (21 years) were killed at dawn today, succumbing to their wounds as a result of being shot by the occupation forces, and 8 others were wounded during an armed confrontation in the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin.

Armed clashes erupted between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation soldiers after more than 60 military patrols and vehicles stormed the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, to demolish the homes of the families of the two martyrs, Ahmed and Abdel Rahman Abed, the perpetrators of the Jalama checkpoint operation that led to the killing of an Israeli officer last September.

During the raid, the occupation forces arrested the young man, Maher Hani Abed, after they raided his house, who is the brother of the martyr Abdel Rahman Abed.

Resistance fighters responded with bullets and explosive devices to the intrusion of the occupation forces, as they opened fire from several directions towards the invading force.

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), and the Jenin Brigade of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that their fighters confronted the occupation forces.

A massive march was launched in front of Ibn Sina Hospital, during which the participants carried the bodies of the two martyrs, Abed and Houshieh, on their shoulders, and roamed the streets of the city and its camp, chanting slogans condemning the continuous Israeli occupation crimes against "our defenseless people."

The participants in the march called on "our people" to "strengthen national unity as the most powerful weapon" to confront the occupation.

Israel demolishes Palestinian homes under the pretext of carrying out attacks against it that result in the killing of Israelis, which human rights organizations condemn as a method of "collective punishment".
