Carcassonne police have opened an investigation after the death of a 43-year-old man who fell from a moving car in which he was a passenger.
The accident
occurred on the Carcassonne ring road during New Year's Eve.
Rescued on the roadside, the victim died of his injuries, reports the daily
L'Indépendant
in its current edition.
According to the first elements, the forties would have jumped from the vehicle on his own during an argument with his companion who was driving.
Her blood alcohol level was negative.
The police are trying to determine if the death of the unfortunate is due to his fall or if he could have been hit by other vehicles traveling on the fast lane.
