The facts were noted this Monday, January 2, in Rennes.
Five vehicles parked on the site of the departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS) of Ille-et-Vilaine had been the subject of acts of vandalism.
According to the fire department, the tires of the vehicles had been deflated "by means of a device causing a slow and regular leak".
President of the SDIS, Jean-Luc Chenut condemned "with the greatest firmness this criminal act".
The one who is also president of the departmental council believes that this act “could have endangered a user of these vehicles”.
The elected socialist said that a complaint had been filed by his services.
"I express the wish that the perpetrator(s) of such acts will be identified and sanctioned with all the necessary firmness", he added, believing that the firefighters "deserve the greatest respect".
