A total of five people have been arrested after the night's explosions in Grimsta and Bagarmossen in Stockholm, which are linked to gang criminal environments.

The murder is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the capital.

One of those arrested is a well-known rapper, according to SVT Nyheter's information.

The latest victim is a man in his 20s who was shot dead on New Year's Eve in the center of Vällingby in northwest Stockholm.

- There is some kind of wild west atmosphere right now in the criminal environment.

Many leaders are away on long prison sentences.

Young people trying to position themselves take the opportunity to target people who a year ago had a lot of influence but who are now more vulnerable due to shifts in power, says Diamant Salihu in SVT's Morgonstudion.

Salihu believes that shootings and explosions occur during the Christmas and New Year holidays is hardly a coincidence.

- These guys know that the police do not have sufficient resources with investigators, analysts and so on.

Some criminals then take advantage.

The majority of fatal shootings in Stockholm

A total of 63 fatal shootings took place in Sweden last year, the majority in the Stockholm region.

Southern Stockholm has been hard hit.

Even if the police believe that they cannot pinpoint all gang criminals, it should be possible to work with more foresight, Diamant Salihu believes.

- A main clue is that Einár is the common denominator, that people attack his perpetrators in different ways.

There, you can act with more foresight and anticipate who are potential targets and be more visible at the addresses they are written to.
