A rave party bringing together more than 600 participants was held in a disused factory in Doué-en-Anjou (Maine-et-Loire), this New Year weekend. It started on Friday and first ended on Sunday morning.

The party, however, would have resumed in the middle of the day before stopping again around 4 p.m., reports

Ouest-France

.

The event had not been the subject of a request and had been prohibited by a prefectural decree

The places would have been left in good condition and drivers had been designated to bring back the revelers, says France 3 Pays-de-la-Loire.

The mayor of Doué-la-Fontaine, Michel Pattée, noted the good collaboration with the police.

Between 20 and 35 gendarmes were present on site to supervise the party and ensure the safety of the participants.

Several tests for alcohol and narcotics were organised.

Ouest-France

indicates, however, that the firefighters would have been called upon several times, in particular for cuts, dog bites and discomfort.

The owner of the factory, for sale, filed a complaint.

He assures that he had not allowed the holding of the party and that the places were closed.
