- There is a lot here, says Olivia Ek and gets down on her knees and picks.

Little brother Elias, 5 years old, asks for a pair of gloves and gets started.

- I want the adults to put the rubbish in the bin, he says.

It is Amir Faqiri, who started the Keep Jönköping clean project three years ago, who gets the children's help.

He states that at least there is less litter this year than last year.

- Then I held on for two days, he says.

Picking up other people's trash

Keep Jönköping clean aims to draw attention to the problems caused by littering in nature.

- I have understood that the same amount of fireworks were sold for this New Year, so that there is less rubbish perhaps means that more people picked it up after themselves.

But it's still a lot.

The children pick up bag after bag and Olivia says that it is not right that others should have to pick up New Year's party trash.

- It is fantastic to see the children here.

Hopefully we inspire others to pick up litter, or even better, not to litter, says Amir Faqiri.

In the clip, you hear the children say what they think about the adults' littering.

The dog Bosse was also allowed to join.
