Columnist Marton Dunay writes about this in an article for The Financial Times.

The journalist noted that Hungary is constantly blocking the desire of Ukraine to join NATO.

Danube recalled that at the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the NATO countries, which took place in November, Budapest opposed the invitation of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to the meeting.

“Ukrainians also distrust Hungary: 42% of respondents in a recent survey consider Hungarians to be hostile towards Ukraine,” the author of the article writes.

Danube also spoke about Kuleba's statement that relations between Kyiv and Budapest will not improve as long as Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban remains in power.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that Orban's statements about the continuation of economic cooperation with Russia demonstrate a "pathological disregard for Ukraine."
