For Henri Konan Bédié, 2023 is a "

decisive

 " year for the country.

His party, the PDCI-RDA, like the PPA-CI, has stepped up in recent weeks to denounce dysfunctions in the process of revising the electoral lists.

In such a context, Henri Konan Bédié, former Ivorian President, calls for everyone's sense of responsibility, to avoid new tensions: "

This election year must be, for each and every one of us, the opportunity to demonstrate that the Côte d 'Ivoire has turned the page on pre- and post-election crises.

We call on everyone's responsibility and especially that of the Independent Electoral Commission to create the conditions for holding fair, transparent and smooth elections

President Alassane Ouattara welcomed the return "

of almost all Ivorians exiled abroad

 ".

In his address to the Nation, the Ivorian Head of State also called for calm and unity in view of the upcoming events:

"

I want to call on the entire population, the political class, the traditional chiefs and the religious leaders to mobilize during these local events so that we demonstrate, once again, with elections without violence, the maturity of our democracy.

 »

In 2023, we will have to refuse the temptation to stiffen up or dramatize

”, underlines, for his part, Pascal Affi N'Guessan, leader of the FPI who calls for the consolidation of political dialogue.
