Concerning the Israeli occupation of Palestine in the Middle East, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on the International Court of Justice to issue an opinion in light of the principles of international law.

Since the Third Middle East War in 1967, Israel has continued to occupy Palestine, including the West Bank of the Jordan River, and there is no prospect of realizing peace in the Middle East.

The draft resolution submitted by the Arab countries that have been at odds with Israel is an international law resolution to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Netherlands, regarding the violation of the rights of the Palestinian people over many years of occupation and settlement by Israel. and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

In the vote held at the United Nations General Assembly on the 30th, 87 countries including Arab countries, Russia and China voted in favor, 26 countries including Israel, the United States and the United Kingdom opposed, and 53 countries including Japan and France abstained. The resolution was adopted with a majority vote.

The resolution of the UN General Assembly has no legal binding force, and it has not been decided whether the International Court of Justice will conduct a hearing and issue an opinion. "If you believe in international law and peace, I hope that all countries will support the Court's opinion and stand up to Israel," he said.

Israel's right-wing ex-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returned to power this week, launching what has been described as the toughest coalition government ever against Palestine, and is expected to vehemently oppose a UN General Assembly resolution.
