The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has registered this Saturday

an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 south of Turre (Almería), which has been felt by the population

.

As reported by the IGN, the earthquake

was registered at 08:05 hours

and its epicentral zone was this area of ​​the Levante of the province of Almería, with a latitude of 37.01 degrees north and a longitude of -1.89 degrees west.

The earthquake has reached a kilometer depth and

has been felt in nearby towns in eastern Almería such as Turre, Garrucha and Mojácar,

municipalities from which their neighbors have indicated to 112 in Andalusia that they had felt the movement of the earth.

The single emergency telephone number has also specified to EFE that at the moment there is no evidence of damage of any kind.

Previously, the IGN had indicated that

this same earthquake had been registered to the northeast of Carboneras (Almería)

, as well as that it had a depth of five kilometers and very similar coordinates.

However, according to the data updated by the IGN,

a second earthquake was registered in Carboneras at 09:12 hours, in this case of magnitude 2.2
