Sharjah Municipality: Public parking is free tomorrow, except for those subject to fees throughout the week

The Sharjah Municipality announced that it will exempt users of public parking lots in the city of Sharjah from fees on Sunday 1/1/2023 on the occasion of New Year's Day, with the exception of parking lots that are subject to fees on weekdays and public holidays, which can be identified through blue signboards.

The municipality confirmed the continuation of the inspection tours of the public parking lots and to ensure commitment to parking the vehicles in the correct manner. It also identified 10 common behaviors that should be avoided when using the public parking service, namely: Reserving more than one parking space;

As it is necessary to allow other users to use the parking lots, obstruct traffic by standing behind vehicles, standing behind garbage containers, standing in bus stops where this leads to impeding the movement of passengers getting on and off, standing in prohibited or planned areas, and standing on the sidewalk for what this constitutes From danger to pedestrians, parking in closed dirt squares, parking on curves of roads, as well as parking within government setbacks for buildings, and parking in special parking lots for people with disabilities (without a permit authorizing this).
