On Europe 1, opponents of the presidential party return to the traditional wishes of Emmanuel Macron.

And they struggled to convince them.

For them, Emmanuel Macron took the opportunity of the end-of-year speech to develop his communication, to the point of "lying".

During his traditional wishes to the French, Emmanuel Macron wanted to send the French a message of union and solidarity.

The Head of State also mentioned the ecological transition, a "battle" that France must "win", as well as pension reform.

The latter will be well applied by the end of the summer, he confirmed.

Finally, he underlined the help that France brings to the Ukrainians, and that France will bring "until victory".

"Untruths"

This speech, of record duration for a president of the Fifth Republic, was not enough to convince the political class.

"We can wonder if Emmanuel Macron lives in France as he is far from the concerns of the French", launches Philippe Ballard, deputy National Rally of the 2nd district of Oise, on the antenna of Europe 1. For the elected official , this speech is nothing but pure and hard communication.

In particular, he considers that VSEs have been forgotten in this speech, as they are bearing the brunt of the rise in energy prices.

The deputy also deplores what he considers to be "untruths".

While Emmanuel Macron speaks of a drop in unemployment, Philippe Ballard denounces "the creation of uberized jobs which deprive us of social security contributions".

When the president talks about Europe protecting France, the MP, a member of an anti-European party, criticizes the European energy market.

In summary, for the elected official of Oise, Emmanuel Macron has "abandoned the State".

"He lies"

On the side of Europe Ecology-The Greens, no more enthusiasm.

Marine Tondelier, national secretary of the party, believes on Europe 1 that Emmanuel Macron spoke for a long time "to say nothing very concrete".

"I thought it was all very vague and very hazy, and then I fell out of my chair when, in the list of things going on right now that couldn't be predicted, he quotes the global warming."

Ironically, Marine Tondelier, specifies that "obviously no one had warned him", neither the "IPCC reports", nor "the scientific consensus" or even the "condemnation of France for climate inaction".

Today, the party wants an "ecological leap".

For Marine Tondelier, she does not have "the same sense of priorities" as the president who prefers to favor "pension reform".

On this subject, the politician is clear: "he is lying".

"When he says that the pension system is in deficit. […] It's an ideological reform. In reality, if we want pensions in 30 years, it's the climate that we have to deal with."

Many elected officials from the political class agree this Saturday evening to say that Emmanuel Macron spoke on many subjects in a succinct, even vague way.

Unsurprisingly, few opponents of the president were won over by this speech.
