And this new model could be the new ID.7, the brand's future large electric sedan.

Intended to replace the Arteon, the ID.7 will logically be a notch above the ID.5.

Even if we don't know much about this new model yet, it will be closely derived from the ID.Aero concept (photo), with a length of almost 5 meters and a coefficient of air penetration (Cx) of only 0 ,23.



More autonomy

With the 77 kWh battery that currently equips the ID.5, the range will reach 620 km, or 100 km more than the SUV.

But Volkswagen could go further by using the 111 kWh battery presented on the ID Vizzion concept in 2018. As for the engine, it could be the current unit developing 204 hp, unless the high-end positioning of this new large electric sedan does not involve two motors combined, and therefore 4-wheel drive.
