“Since the beginning of martial law, border guards have detained almost 12,000 men for attempting to illegally cross the border, who, by age, are subject to conscription during mobilization,” the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky refused to dismiss from military service citizens who served a year under martial law.
