On December 29, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a massive strike with long-range precision-guided air and sea-based weapons on the military command and control system and energy facilities that ensured the operation of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.

This was announced during a briefing by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

According to him, the purpose of the strike was achieved, all the designated objects were hit.

“As a result of the strike, the production and repair of military equipment and ammunition was stopped, as well as the transfer of reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the western regions of Ukraine.

As a result of the violation of railway transportation, foreign weapons supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine are blocked in the rear areas, ”Konashenkov said.

On the eve of the Ukrainian media reported about arrivals in many large cities of Ukraine.

The speech, in particular, was about Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkov, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lvov.

The situation on the front

The official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also spoke about the current situation in the NVO zone.

So, in the Kupyansky direction, up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, three armored combat vehicles and two pickup trucks of the units of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Petropavlovka and the 92nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Kruglyakovka, Kharkiv region, were destroyed by artillery fire.

In the Krasnolimansky direction near the village of Yampolovka (DPR), more than 40 Ukrainian servicemen, four armored combat vehicles and five vehicles of the 110th Territorial Defense Brigade were killed by Russian aviation and artillery strikes.

In the Donetsk direction, during the successful offensive operations of the Russian troops, units of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the settlement of Krasnaya Gora and the 60th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kleshcheevka (DPR) were defeated.

Enemy losses amounted to 50 Ukrainian servicemen, three armored personnel carriers and four pickup trucks.

In the South-Donetsk direction, more than 70 Ukrainian servicemen, five armored combat vehicles and six vehicles of units of the 72nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the settlement of Novomikhailovka and the 108th brigade of the territorial defense of Prechistovka were destroyed.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense reported that 73 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at firing positions, as well as manpower and military equipment in 86 districts, were hit by missile forces and artillery.

In addition, the radar station of the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system (Lebedin, Sumy region), two US-made AN / TPQ-50 counter-battery radar stations (Veseloye and Chasov Yar, DPR) were destroyed.

During the counter-battery fight, two 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mounts (Berestovoe and Krasnogorovka, DPR), a Grad multiple launch rocket launcher, and D-20 and D-30 howitzers were destroyed in the areas of settlements Lozovaya, Kharkiv region and Malinovka DPR.

“In the areas of the settlements of Mospino, Novoye of the Donetsk People's Republic, Svistunovka, Pervomaisk and Troitskoye of the Luhansk People's Republic, eight rockets of the HIMARS and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems were destroyed.
