Ukraine was targeted by a new salvo of Russian missiles on Thursday (December 29th) as explosions were heard in several cities following fire from Ukraine's anti-aircraft defense system, as reported said the Ukrainian authorities.

Ukraine denounces “ massive 

” strikes

According to the mayor of kyiv, Vitaliy Klychko, the current toll is three wounded.

At present, three people have been injured, including a 14-year-old girl.

Power cuts have been announced in the Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, in order to minimize potential damage to strategic infrastructure.

Lviv cut off from electricity

Lviv, the big city in western Ukraine, was 90%

deprived of electricity

 on Thursday after new Russian bombardments on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in the middle of winter and a few days before the New Year.

90% of the city is without electricity (...) trams and trolleybuses no longer run in the city, there could be water cuts

 ", indicated the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, on the social network Telegram.

The Kremlin had warned that there would be no New Year truce on the ground in Ukraine.
