This was announced by the press secretary of the head of the Russian state Dmitry Peskov.

“We are preparing a meeting between President Putin and President Xi, which will take place tomorrow morning in Moscow.

It will be a videoconferencing, there is a closed connection between the two heads of state,” he said.

Peskov specified that the first exchange of welcoming remarks would be public, then the conversation would continue behind closed doors.

Earlier it became known that Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev conveyed Putin's message to Xi Jinping.

Medvedev arrived in Beijing on 21 December.

As reported, during the talks with the head of China, in particular, the topic of strategic partnership was touched upon.
