The Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Dr. Mustafa Al-Barghouti, confirmed in his interview with the “Beyond the News” program that the Palestinians have an unprecedented opportunity to activate the boycott and impose isolation on Israel.

He described the government of the leader of the right-wing "Likud" party, Benjamin Netanyahu, as having come to perpetuate the criminal apartheid regime in full.

Today, Thursday, the Knesset (Israeli parliament) voted by 63 votes to give confidence to the new government headed by Netanyahu, which is composed of the Likud party, the far-right parties of religious Zionism and the parties of ultra-Orthodox Jews.

Barghouti called on the Palestinians to adopt a strategy of isolation and siege, and to escalate the movement to boycott Israel at the international level, in addition to launching a broad campaign at the Arab level, especially since one of Netanyahu's goals is to expand the normalization process with the Arab community to liquidate the Palestinian cause.

He said that the choices of the Palestinians today require them to stop what he called the miserable agreements with Israel, such as Oslo, to stop security coordination with the occupation, and to accelerate the unification of the Palestinian ranks on a program of resistance.

Barghouti believed that Netanyahu's new government confirms that the Zionist movement has begun to reveal its cards and show its intentions and purposes, stressing that the program of this government is based on "annexing the West Bank and expanding settlements in the West Bank and elsewhere, and saying that Palestine is an exclusive right of the Jews and there is no place for the Palestinians in it, which means It has an intention to carry out ethnic cleansing."

It is noteworthy that the parties participating in the government signed a document that includes the foundations on which the government coalition was built, and states that the Jewish people have an exclusive and indisputable right to the land of Israel, and that the government will work to develop settlements and promote Jewish immigration to Israel, according to the official announcement.

A biblical doctrinal project

In his reading of the composition of the new Israeli government, the researcher specializing in Israeli affairs, Adel Shadid, indicated that it includes a group that mixes religious and heritage understanding, and its program is based on the idea of the exclusive right of the Jews in the lands of historical Palestine, which means a complete abolition of Palestine and the Palestinian people, and he said that it is a government that seeks to Translating a biblical ideological and national project that eliminates the Palestinian presence.

Also, the members of the government are Jewish extremists, and according to their beliefs, they do not give importance to the external international positions, nor to the internal voices opposing this government.

The researcher specializing in Israeli affairs ruled out the crystallization of a right-wing opposition, because the government won the Knesset's vote.

However, the guest of the "Beyond the News" program pointed out the importance of thousands of secular Jews demonstrating against the government, which he said had created a great division in society and in the Israeli army.

Last Wednesday, more than 100 retired Israeli ambassadors and diplomats at the Foreign Ministry expressed concern that the government's policy, led by Netanyahu, could harm Tel Aviv's foreign relations.
