The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has ordered the security forces to intensify protection measures for victims of sexist violence and that police risk assessments prioritize the "most favorable" actions for women and their children.

The announcement comes in full rebound in cases, with ten murdered in December, and after admitting yesterday the Secretary of State for Equality and against Gender Violence,

, that "if there are murders there is a failure of all the institutions, we have not arrived on time."

Marlaska, who has appeared urgently after the latest sexist murders, has shown "deep frustration" at "the unusual and terrible proliferation" of crimes these days, although she has made it clear that "they do not respond to any temporal pattern or another type".

The minister has detailed all the actions that the different ministries apply to combat gender violence, and has assessed that "all assessments are in accordance with the protocols".

"Collaboration is important", he highlighted, "but like all systems they can be improved and that's where we are at".
