A 36-year-old man was found dead in his apartment in Cergy (Val-d'Oise) on Wednesday around 3 a.m.

When help arrived, the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest, reports La Gazette du Val-d'Oise.

Present on the spot, the police tried to resuscitate him using cardiac massage.

Firefighters then took over.

In vain.

Despite their efforts, the 30-year-old could not be revived.

He was declared dead by the Smur doctor.

A forensic obstacle has been issued in order to determine whether the victim's death was accidental or not.

For the time being, the precise circumstances of the events have not yet been determined.

According to our colleagues, the man did not suffer from any health problem.

His body was taken to the Forensic Institute of Garches Hospital (Hauts-de-Seine).

An autopsy will be performed.
