Trilateral talks between the defense ministers of Russia, Syria and Turkey were held in Moscow

“On December 28, tripartite talks were held in Moscow between the Ministers of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Turkey.

Ways to resolve the Syrian crisis and the problem of refugees, joint efforts to combat extremist groups in Syria were discussed, ”RIA Novosti quotes the department.

It is noted that following the meeting, the parties noted the constructive nature of the dialogue.

Earlier it was reported that the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar and the head of Turkish intelligence Hakan Fidan arrived in Moscow for negotiations and various meetings.

On December 15, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan invited Russian leader Vladimir Putin to hold a meeting of the heads of Turkey, Russia and Syria.

According to him, meetings of the heads of intelligence services, the Ministry of Defense and the Foreign Ministry should be held before such a summit.
