As of now, there are only 51 registered survivors left.

  In the early morning of December 28, the survivor Yuan Guilong died at the age of 88.

After the fall of Nanjing in 1937, Yuan Guilong's father and uncle were killed by the Japanese army, and more than a dozen of the tile and thatched huts in his family were burned down.

When the old man was still alive, he recalled: "My father, Yuan Defu, was tied to a big tree. The beastly Japanese soldiers lined up, holding bayonets in their hands, and treated him as a living target. They rushed up to you and stabbed him. The whole body of my father It was a blood hole, bleeding all over his body, and died tragically after being stabbed more than a dozen times."

  Previously, the survivor Zhang Shixiang died on December 27, 2022 at the age of 92; the survivor Wang Jin died on December 24, 2022 at the age of 91.

Among them, the old man Wang Jin was invited by the testimonies of victims of the Chinese war in Japan in 2013 to participate in the testimonies of survivors of the Nanjing Massacre held in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and other cities in Japan.

  Up to now, there are only 51 living survivors of the Nanjing Massacre registered by the Aid Association for Victims of the Japanese Invasion in Nanjing.
